A wonderful B&B: the house is lovely (and cool in the summer!), the host Marie is friendly and welcoming, and the house is two minutes from the old part of town. The breakfast was delicious, and the large yard is beautiful. All in all, we would definitely come back!

A wonderful and welcoming place to rest and relax full of unique and charming details. We spent two nights at TaRTaSeNia. I had picked Saint Jean Pied du Pont simply because of the ridiculous number of cycling climbs starting from town with little expectations about the village or the accommodation that my wife found. While the cycling was fantastic, the real surprise of the trip was how lovely Saint Jean Pied de Port and TaRTaSeNia was. The location is perfect, a short walk from the center of town. The room was comfortable, spotless and well equipped. The garden is beautiful (perfect for our Yorkshire Terrier to explore and play in) and the house is magnificent (take the time to read it’s history on the website). But the best part of our stay was the energy and passion Marie puts into hosting. From the wonderful breakfasts to the well thought out little details everywhere, even in her patience when I tried to use my high school French with her, her skills as a host are very good.

Well, there is clearly nothing wrong about this B&B. Marie, the owner, is a wonderful person who loves her activity and welcoming people in her nice house. Ideally located near the city center and on the ways to Compostella, it has several rooms offering a great comfort. I would recommend the apartment on the top floor which has a nice view on the city and the beautiful garden. Breakfast is a wonder with local or homemade products (Jam, fruit marmalade, bio bread...). But the most appreciable is Marie's personality. She has a natural talent to make you feeling at home and pleasing you during your stay. If it happens that you stop by Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, you should not miss the opportunity to stay in Tartasenia. FYI, the garden has also several park spaces where you can leave your car (in case, you are not a pilgrim...)
