Told us we could use the path right behind the hotel to get into the mountains, which was not the case since these woods burned down and every path was overgrown to the point of not existing anymore. After we checked out we wanted to use the toilet in the hotel lobby, which we were not allowed, since "it belongs to the restaurant and that is closed". Just wow. Rooms were OK. But service was questionable at times (Rooms were not cleaned since we were there the one time the cleaning personnel came by.)

We liked the newly renovated bathrooms, very comfortable shower. The sauna was pretty amazing even though we had to pay extra for it. It was perfect relaxation after long hikes. Breakfast was decent. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

So, I picked this hotel due to its location. The location is great and the rooms themselves are OK. However I cannot recommend this hotel for a few reasons. I would not call this a 4* hotel. I have stayed in a lot of 4* hotels and this is not one of them. Firstly the reception in from 8am to 10pm. I arrived after 10pm and had trouble getting in, though someone kindly came down to reception to let me in and give me a key when I turned up about 11:30pm. More seriously, there is no privacy on the balcony and they are only separated by a mesh as you can see on the pictures. You can see in to the rooms next to you, but that is not the main issue. Not having a solid divider means is someone is smoking on the balcony even 3 rooms away, the smoke comes straight over your balcony and you cannot sit out in private if others are using their balcony too. Worst is breakfast. This is a national park where people go hiking. Breakfast starts at 8am, not 6am as you would expect. However again they make it worse. Its not free seating, basically the rooms are allocated to tables, so you end up sitting with complete strangers. In our case with ones who did not speak English. The breakfast should be first come – first served with free seating. To make this even worse, there is no tea and coffee in the room. I would expect this with a 3*, let alone a so-called 4*, so you cannot get coffee until 8am. Overall not a good place to stay.
