Bujtina Malaj

It was a very nice guest house in a beautiful area. It has everything we needed and was very clean. Picture a cozy log cabin in the middle of nowhere with mountains as far as the eye can see and you are on the right track. The host took very good care of us, even down to helping us get transportation to and from the guest house. It’s a longer road going up to the guest house so make sure your transportation takes you up to the actual house if you have a lot of luggage. But the views are breathtaking. We loved our little balcony off of our room and the wrap-around porch where we could eat our breakfast in the morning. It’s very close to the beginning of the Valbone-Theth pass and the host gave us excellent directions on a shortcut to get there from his place. We had no issues and enjoyed our stay very much. (Also side note, they provided excellent WiFi with great signal if you need that while you’re there.) We would absolutely recommend this place, and we will come back again if we get the chance.

I had an amazing stay at Bujtina Malaj in Valbona! The hospitality was outstanding – the hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like part of the family. The service was excellent and everything was handled with care and attention. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Valbona, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. The guesthouse is very clean, comfortable, and offers all the conditions needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. What impressed me the most was the combination of warm hospitality, great service, and the stunning natural beauty around. I would highly recommend Bujtina Malaj to anyone visiting Valbona – it truly made our trip unforgettable!

Beautiful guest house with amazing views! It’s only a one hour walk away from the starting point of the Valbonë tot Theth hike. The owner is friendly. He gave us helpful tips and made a reservation for a traditional Albanian dinner.
