Retezat Retreat Camping

Recently we stayed 2 nights at this nice campsite in Transylvania. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the very friendly and helpful owner, Alexandra. She showed us around the small but very cozy and well-equipped campsite. You can pitch your own tent, but you can also opt for a chalet. In any case, you have the space; the owners do not want an overcrowded campsite. We - and also our dog - had a few nice days there. There was a nice atmosphere, our dog could play freely with the owners' dog, everyone was very friendly and Alexandra was a great hostess. From the campsite you can easily explore the area. An absolute must is to visit NP Retezat. You can take beautiful hiking there. We will definitely come back!

Everything as expected. A quiet place, a very warm welcome and a very hot shower. We took a wood house in the midle of september. Clean room and sheets. In cold weather just cover yourself.

Its the best option for camping in this area. It features toilets, showers, electricity, huge playground, picnic area with fireplace. The owner is super friendly and actually he's the main attraction of the campsite, he can recommend all the activities possible in the region, paraglide flying, hiking, etc.
