Avoid this place. Stunning location, but run by extremely rude and aggressive people. My wife, young child, and I accidentally walked through their land after following a public footpath that ends at their open gate — there were no signs to say it was private. Six dogs came charging over, and one attacked our golden retriever assistance dog. When I stepped in to stop it, I was met with aggressive shouting, swearing, and “this is our land,” all in front of their grandchild and my two-year-old. Truly disgraceful behaviour. We had actually planned to stay here with friends, but after this encounter, we definitely won’t. Beautiful place, awful people.

Beautiful campsite but Please rehome the guinea pigs & chickens who appear to have health issues. There are lots of rehoming organisations who will take small animals at no cost to yourselves - please just google your nearest. You’d be doing the right thing :)

Arthur’s Field as it used to be known has been a campsite since the 1920s when half of Harley Street apparently used to stay! It’s a lovely spot with good clean basic facilities. It is also an easy walk to Portscatho and Gerrans - two excellent pubs! All in all a stunning place we’ve stayed at a fair few times over the years
