Le Domaine du Mont - Vacancéole

The location is all right, close to Mont Saint-Michel. The staff, at least the one I interacted with, was very nice and informative. That's about the only good things I can mention. I guess they are trying to fill a void between a hotel and an airbnb. It's weird. Upon arrival it is explained that guests are expected to empty the garbage at the end of their stay. Ok. Oh and you are given a list of ALL the items in the room, count and unit price for each. You are on the hook for them. When entering the room, you are greeted with a pile of (washed) linen. You are expected to spread the bedsheets, wrap the comforters and pillows with their respective cases. Pretty much half of the housekeeping job is outsourced to the guests. Do I have a problem with doing chores? Not really... but this is at the end of a long day of traveling, the last thing I want to do at night before resting is stuffing pillow cases. I'm sorry, I thought I had paid for a room, with service included?

Comfortable, clean, and affordable. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The wifi is great, as is the free parking. Haven't tried the pool yet but plan to today. The surrounding villages are postcard perfect. Such a beautiful area. Mont Saint Michel is very close by(that is the reason we chose this hotel) and we plan an excursion there this morning. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Beautiful french countryside hotel. Very close to Mont Saint Michel, the reason we are visiting the area. Very clean, safe, and affordable. Front desk staff is helpful and friendly. Amenities include great wifi and free parking. The have a beautiful indoor pool which we plan to try later today. The surrounding villages offer great shopping and dining experiences. Very pleased to have found this gem. I would highly recommend this place. We hope to return when we visit again next year.
