Das Waldhaus (Hotel)

🇬🇧 Tranquility, nature and flowing water – pure relaxation in Forbach. My stay at Hotel Das Waldhaus was peaceful and refreshing. The hotel sits above the village with great views of the Murg valley. My room was located right next to the canal, beside a small bridge — the constant sound of flowing water was deeply relaxing and helped me sleep wonderfully every night. The area is perfect for hikers and nature lovers. Within minutes you’re surrounded by forest. The room was simple, clean, bright, and had a balcony overlooking the river. Breakfast was fresh and filling: bread rolls, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, and fruit. The staff was kind and offered great tips. Not luxurious, but full of authentic Black Forest charm. Highly recommended.

Outstanding! Perfect location, very friendly staff/owner, great service and the rooms are super clean and spacious. The nice breakfast with great cappuccino was a good start of the day. When we visit the region again, we will definitely come back.

We loved our stay at Das Waldhaus! Super friendly and gracious hosts that will go above and beyond for all guests. Complimentary hot drinks whenever you want and always a fully stocked fridge if you wanted something stronger. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent with such a big range for breakfast that you could have a couple of options on any given morning. Dinner is only Saturday and Monday, due to the local restaurants being closed, so they ensure guests do not go without. Pre-order and take a seat later on and it's promptly to your table, freshly made. They also offer a lunch pack of you're going to be making the most of the area and walking/hiking about. The view from our room, which overlooked the adjoining bridge, was absolutely spectacular! We were fortunate to have good weather on our visit which made things a lot better! The room itself is cosy and comfortable. The bathroom does its job as you'd expect with no hidden surprises. We didn't get a chance to use the sauna so cannot comment. I don't think I could live life fully without visiting Das Waldhaus again! We had such a wonderful stay. 5* all round. Thank you! 太感謝了！ 你們的熱情好客！
