Albergue La Calabaza del Peregrino

It was a blessing to find this place after a long walk. The service was very good, and the food from the restaurant was also nice! They have a sink where you can wash your clothes. The beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom was too small for the number of people they accommodated. The price is higher than public hostels but with worse facilities than many other public hostels.

Lovely manager - clean sheets/rooms/bathrooms. Mattresses were ?memory foam and super comfy. Pizzas were really great and other meals looked good too. I couldn't really fault it. May have new owners as some reviews suggest!

La Calabaza is under new management as of 3 weeks ago, and they are doing an amazing job! Dario was warm and welcoming, the hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, and they have food and beverages for purchase. I had a lovely salad, cafe con leche, and ice cream cake. They also have pizza and some daily specials, and the kitchen is open until 10:00 pm. I sat on the terrace in the afternoon breeze along with other pilgrims...so peaceful. La Calabaza is literally on the Camino trail, like one foot off the trail, and you're in the front door. I've been walking for 2 weeks from Porto, and this has been my favorite place to stay.
