Hadrian's Holiday Lodges and Tours

We had a wonderful Hadrian's Wall trip with Catherine this week. she picked us up in her car from Hexham station ( quick run from Newcastle, where we were staying) and we had a marvellous day. Roman Army Museum excellent, Vindolanda brilliant, where we met some of Catherine's archaeologist friends, and in between stopped at various points to look at the wall itself. Catherine is very friendly and knowledgeable and although I have taught about A Level Britain, I learned so much. My daughter and I enjoyed it hugely. Would strongly recommend.

Wonderful place to stop on HWP. Best lodge during my six day journey, by far. Room is ample, clean and very comfortable. Excellent shower, which is very appreciated after a long day of walking. The breakfast was also excellent. Owners are fantastic, friendly and interesting. I strongly recommend them.

Thank you, Nigel & Catherine, for a wonderful few days. Such a beautiful & peaceful area. The pod was spotless, the bed so comfy, shower excellent & had everything you could need. Great breakfasts & lovely cake! Nigel & Catherine were both very helpful, knowledgeable, accessible but were careful to only offer advice if it was wanted, respecting our privacy too. Although on their doorstep the outdoor space feels very private, is beautifully decorated, with a view of fields & The Wall only a short distance away. Lovely local pub food at The Samson Inn The Greenhead hotel too.
