Alpenhotel Fernau

An excellent retreat from the noise of day to day life that makes you feel like time doesn’t pass by the same here. The service is excellent all around, the rooms are good and the dinner menu is a different experience each day. But my favourite part was the hotel bar that has a unique vibe. I could sit there for hours each night just enjoying the warmth of the fireplace and the charm of the wooden decor. Congratulations to the Hofer family and the entire staff.

Good hotel, great breakfast, but hot tub didn't work, is open very short hours, and I was charged for apple juice at the bar 3.30 euro a piece without ever being told... Until I saw it on my bill at checkout. So there is room for improvement.

Could have happily stayed longer. The staff were friendly, and the food and service cannot be faulted. Each night there was a choice of soap and mains along with other set menu items. The room was comfortable. The hotel ideally located on the quieter edge of the village but easily walkable to the center and further. Would recommend and rebook again.
