Malga Pices Fanes

Opens at 4pm for checkin - so headed to Lavarella for lunch/a break. Wonderful family run hut - and was pleased that we had proper source of protein (broadly chicken, as well as a massive starter pasta, salad, and cake). Breakfast the next morning was at 7 but they can do earlier as one of the groups was leaving at 5:45 they were able to put aside food). There’s a total of 10 beds in the dorm, with a hot shower included! Bonus points for cute cat which was very friendly!

Amazing place to stay .

The place is very pretty. In a magnificent setting on the banks of a small river. We stayed in a dormitory, with decent comfort, including duvets. Hot showers with no time limit. Dinner was really basic, breakfast a little better. It's mainly the value for money that's bad. Way too expensive compared to the comfort and quality of the meals. €400 for four is excessive. Much worse than all the other refuges we stayed at during our eight-day trek through the Dolomites.
