Family Holiday Home Les Marronniers

First ski holiday in France and it was wonderful! The hotel is well located to downtown and next to free shuttle stop to go to the telecabine. Also a short distance to Pont d’Espagne. The hotel staff are accommodating and thoughtful - we are a family with food allergies and they were able to ensure we ate well and safely. The price is reasonable for good quality food, on site pool/sauna/spa and entertainment at night.

Overall, an excellent family stay with my wife, daughter, and our little dog! We thoroughly enjoyed the full board option; the food is simple, home-style, but well-prepared with good quality ingredients and a good variety! The option of a packed lunch for day trips is very convenient so you don't miss out on lunch! My picky daughter ate quite well 🙂. The setting is stunning, with plenty of hiking trails and magnificent sites nearby (the resort, the Pont d'Espagne, etc.). The village is easily accessible on foot, as are the cable cars to the resort (free shuttle stop right next door). We really loved the relaxed, family atmosphere of the establishment and the staff (with their blue hoodies 😁), who were very friendly and welcoming. One very minor drawback: depending on who was at reception, the atmosphere was sometimes very welcoming and sometimes rather cold. The rooms were rather noisy, especially early in the morning (people get up early to enjoy the resort 🙂). Despite all the precautions we took with our dog (walking him four times a day, including early morning and late evening) and following the instructions regarding his needs outside the hotel, there was a small accident (right outside the front door) one morning towards the end of our stay. We apologized profusely, but we still sensed some annoyance from the staff, despite our efforts to clean up. We also chose this hotel because it's one of the few that accepts pets. All of this doesn't detract from the excellent stay we had, and we will definitely return if we're ever in Cauterets again!

A magnificent holiday village! The facilities were very pleasant and clean, such as the indoor pool, sauna, and hammam, not to mention the fantastic hydroJet massage experience. You can combine family fun with the excellent Wi-Fi, and even find time to get some work done. The welcome was perfect and friendly. We ate very well throughout our stay, and the packed lunch buffet was very varied. I am absolutely delighted. Thank you!
