Guesthouse Casa cu Zorele

Fantastic host and house well renovated while keeping historic style. Big rooms with double bed and twin bed for the kids with each a bathroom. We spent a lovely time and a fansastic dinner and breakfast. Traditional cuisine with local ingredients. We highly recommand this place for your visit.

On my motorcycle tour through Romania in September 2024, I stayed one night at the “Casa cu Zorele” in Crit. The lovingly renovated farmhouse has large rooms furnished with traditional wooden furniture and a beautiful tiled stove. The hosts, a married couple, took care of the catering for dinner and breakfast. Both were excellent. A special overnight stay for me.

This is one of the best places i visited :) The house preserves the old style of the Saxons that lived here once. You can expect wood stoves heating the rooms (there is plenty of heat) and very good looking old furniture. The bathrooms are modern, so no worries. Also, serving lunch and dinner here is an experience itself; every food is made there or picked up from the locals in the village. The hosts are very nice and helpful. The village and the surrounding hills must be explored for some stunning views of Transilvania.
