This restaurant in a wooden chalet built in the early 1700s is one of my favourite places for fondue. The drive up there - especially on a clear day is part of the adventure as it sits at 1080 metres in the Swiss Jura Mountains. Start with a plate of cured meats, such as smoked ham and air-dried beef, with cornichons and pickled onions. Then dive into the main course of motie-motie fondue (half Gruyere and half Vacherin Fribourgeois). Remember to drink only white wine or schnapps with your fondue or you'll end up with indigestion, and finish with a meringue with cream and another schnapps to aid digestion. In summer outside tables are a great option -in winter, it's cosy indoors.

Super cute restaurant. Unfortunately we came with a group and got a fixed menu which was not as great, since we could not choose, as the food on the plates of the guests around us. Hope to come again another time. Beautiful nature surroundings.

What a disappointment our visit has been. I visited this place 2 years ago and wanted to come with my friends to enjoy a dinner together. The waiter was somehow not pleased with us and was frustrated. We did not rush anything and it was not busy at the moment. My friend asked (in french) for advice for ordering whine by the fondue. The waiter answered with frustration and mockery. Me, as the 5th person, wanted a steak dish, but got no explanation what the options were. He ran away before I asked for an entree to add. What a disaster, it ruined the whole dinner. I paid 50 franc for the steak, which was mediocre. Looked nice, but tough to chew and sour/iron-ish aftertaste.
