Hotel Es Molí

Beautiful landscape and a nice pool. Service is largely accommodating and friendly. Taxis are unreliable and buses will be tricky to accommodate groups larger than 4 people (usually full) and also arrive at stops +/- 20 minutes later/earlier than the timetables communicated but hotel transportation is good. The private cove is a must do and the tennis courts at the hotel offer a fun exercise activity in addition to the gym. Can also take a run into town for great views and Nama is a good dinner spot.

If you are expecting a four star experience, do not book the ‘annex’ rooms and probably not even the ‘traditional’ rooms in the main building. The annex is a 7 minute walk from reception and the rooms are very dated and basic. When we asked to switch to the main building we were told that it was full and that ‘it was clear when we booked that we were booking the Annex’. That may be so, but we didn’t appreciate what the ‘Annex’ was until we got there. The main building has modernized rooms that from a quick glance appeared to be much nicer. Overall the property is nice and very clean and the breakfast, private beach and pool area are great. The easy walk to Deia is also lovely. I think you should only book the traditional rooms if you are looking for a budget hotel.

We loved interacting with the staff and felt a calmness (consider this hotel in Deià a small slice of paradise) that made our overall experience a five-star one. We favored how they were able to control the number of guests at any one location, whether that be the private beach or a reservation-only dinner on one of their terraces. Their food options were flavorful, but descriptions were missing at times and we needed to do some guesswork (not a problem). Our room and balcony offered the privacy and quietness we look forward to on our vacations too. Definitely eager for the next visit! To the Hotel Es Molí team, continue doing what you do. Cheers!
