Innsbrucker Hütte am Habicht

We really liked staying in this hut. The staff are friendly and helpful. The cozy dining room, with its warm fireplace, really captures that authentic mountain hut vibe. The rooms are clean, with comfortable beds (even for tall people), and plenty of outlets to charge your equipment. The toilets are nice, and the shower is good, though a dedicated dry changing area would be a plus. I love that they don’t offer half-board. Instead, they serve excellent à la carte dinners, which makes the stay more flexible and affordable compared to other huts that offer half-board. Breakfast is available separately, unfortunately no eggs. Overall, a fantastic spot with great service, comfort, delicious food and one of the best views from the terras of all huts at the Stubaier Höhenweg.

Stayed here for 3 nights in July 23. Superb place, family run with a la carte menu. Very cosy, amazing views. Just what a hut should be! Oh - and showers too which I was not expecting but be warned 1 euro does not last very long at all so be super quick!! Great place to stay

Started from Parkplatz Innsbrucker Hütte (1250 m.a.s.l.) placed in Gschnitztal . It takes 2h30m approx. to reach the place (2369 m.a.s.l.) with a lot of stops to take the pictures. Clime is long, without big rocks, but still it deserve precautions. The restaurant are cozy, with enough warmth if outside is cold. The stuff are really friendly. It was nice to rest in the restaurant and eat some tasty food. Going down lasted 1h20m, but it deserve even more precautions, slippery and very close to the edge of the point where it is extremely dangerous to fall down. Really nice to see near Innsbrucker Hütte, the line that separate two valleys, Gschnitztal and Stubaital.
