Elterwater Hostel

This was my fourth year staying at Elterwater Hostel for our annual friend’s trip, and it just keeps getting better. There is something so magical about waking up to those mountain views every morning. I always have the coziest nights sleep here, and access to walks from the doorstep makes it the perfect base for creating great memories. I’m already looking forward to next year! 🏔️

This was a perfect place for a family trip. Nice room, comfy lounge with loads of games, good bike storage and we were made to feel really welcome. Enjoyed the food too.

Stayed at hostels all around Europe and this is one of my favorite. The common areas are spacious while still maintaining a cozy vibe that leads to lots of great conversations. The staff are absolutely wonderful. They take their time to go over your plans and help you plan even better. Breakfast was very affordable and the rooms/bathrooms were clean with incredible views. Location is great as it’s a quick bus to Ambleside which links you with so many other places. Highly recommend staying here.
