Balta Roșie

Perfect campsite on the edge of the Retezat mountains. Quiet and cozy. Very well equipped kitchen and clean toilet and shower. Our dog was greeted very friendly and felt very comfortable on the beautiful grounds. Lots of hammocks, picnic Tables and a nice pond in the middle. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful, we were provided with regional vegetables and cheese. All in all a wonderful place for peace and relaxation, we will definitely come back!

Super friendly owners, who maintain the place and treat their guests with love. One feels like in fairytales garden. Everything very basic but very clean and well working - garden toilet, shower with solar hot water, kitchen. As guest you are allowed to pick anything what grows on the garden, tomatoes, berries. Our daughter enjoyed fishing and she had even two catches. Be aware, there is no 220V and fresh water comes from the mountains so sometimes might be cloudy.

Beautiful lovely camp site. It's run by a family and they are super welcoming and friendly. Hot water and electricity is solar powered. I was alone and had no problems, but if it's full it might be limited. There's a Community kitchen that you can use and plenty picnic tables.
