Vila Nova de Gaia is a beautiful and vibrant part of Porto that you should definitely take time to explore. Famous for its historic port wine cellars along the Douro River, this area offers amazing riverfront views, charming streets, and a relaxed atmosphere. Walking along the waterfront, crossing the Dom Luís I Bridge, or visiting the wine lodges for tastings is a fantastic experience. There are plenty of great cafés, restaurants, and viewpoints, especially at sunset, when the views of Porto are absolutely stunning. Vila Nova de Gaia perfectly blends history, culture, and scenic beauty — a must-visit while you’re in Portugal.

Gorgeous hotel, staff attentive and friendly. Clean and luxurious ambiance. The food and drinks were refreshing. We were welcomed with a tasty cocktail and checked-in in a timely fashion. I would definitely recommend this hotel in Porto.

Lovely place. But walking and cycling is a challenge. It is not a plane terrain. It is slop everywhere. I could not find even 10 meters flat earth.
