Borgo Antichi Orti Assisi

Highly recommended hotel if you are traveling around by car as they have plenty of easy parking. It’s very close to Assisi, in fact we walked about 20 minutes up the hill to the city center from the hotel instead of driving and searching for parking. This also helped us burn off some calories from all of the great Umbrian food. The grounds are beautiful and bucolic and the service is top notch (Martin). The breakfast each morning was delicious. Our room was nice but the shower dripped and we could hear the people in the room above us. We would definitely stay here again but try to get a different room.

The staff were amazing! We had to leave early in the morning to catch our train. The staff arranged a taxi and sent us with breakfast boxes. There are beautiful views of the city above and valley below around every corner.

Happy with our choice to stay here, mostly because of the friendly service from the cocktail bar and breakfast staff. Unbeatable view looking up. A moderate 20 minute walk uphill into town. I found the bed comfortable and loved the pillows. Unfortunately the little pool was closed first week of June even though it was 85 degrees (I was told they were getting it ready to open it). We booked especially for a pool so it was a bit disappointing, but we should have asked about it, so that was on us. Also the restaurant on site was delicious, polite service but definitely on the leisurely side. I would recommend a stay here!
