I've just returned from my Christmas ski holiday at Gästehaus Elisabeth. The owners are a very friendly family. We really enjoyed our stay: the bathroom was clean, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the bedroom was quiet and tidy. The surroundings were very peaceful, and the proximity to the bus stop made getting around easy. The nearby ski resorts were easily accessible, and there were shops where you could rent ski equipment and bicycles. There was even a small private ski lift and a ski school nearby. Throughout our stay, the Riml family were always friendly and helpful. They had even thoughtfully prepared gifts for us, which we really appreciated. Since the guesthouse is located in a high valley, getting around Gries is only possible by car or public transport, which can be a bit inconvenient in winter. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

A modernly furnished apartment with underfloor heating. Everything you need is provided. We only forgot the spices and had to manage without them on the first evening. The welcome was very warm and uncomplicated. There's a small general store next door that also offers a bread roll delivery service. A small folder with the necessary information, such as the Wi-Fi password, local information, and similar details, would be nice. The road to Grieß is very winding but well-maintained and cleared. Parking is available directly in front of the building. In short: A very good, affordable alternative to Sölden. We didn't use the sauna, as the apartment was nice and warm. 😁 We would gladly come back again at the next opportunity.

Good value for money, okay location (accessible by main road or public bus (stop right outside) every two hours), modern entrance area, combined living/sleeping/dining/kitchen area in a historic style, a tiny 1x1m CRT TV is also included, but its picture quality is more like a toaster with a screen. A plus is the underfloor heating throughout the apartment. All rooms were clean upon arrival. A nice little ski area is just around the corner (about 200m) with a drag lift, ski school, and rental shop. In summary, it's fine for 3-4 nights, but if you stay longer, you'll start to feel quite cramped, especially with four people.
