Der Tannenhof - das Radfahrerhotel

The coffee was excellent. Breakfast, very good. Now then: the room we reserved was not available. We were not told that, but given another room, without balcony. When we queried this, the lady said we had booked a smaller room. Insisting a bit more, story changes, now there had been and accident and our room was not available. We were given a smaller room, with balcony, fine, but the floor was heated by the water pipes, and it is August... We wanted to buy a nice handmade piece of clothing. Price 15 EUR. When we went to pay, it was 25 EUR because it was a bigger size, alhough the exact same thing! UNBELIEVABLE! How dishonest! Is this Austria?!!!

We are not cyclists but dog owners. Still we've had a wonderful stay at der Tannenhof. Modern design of comfortable room, perfect breakfast (pressure coffee maker at free disposal!), well thought common spaces, welcoming atmosphere (for people and dogs), contributed to this. Special thanks for refrigerator with drinks available for guests (you write down what you take and pay at checkout). Smooth late check-in. Owners response to queries and requests was fast and helpful. Worth to mention that while close to shops, restaurants and other amenities, the hotel itself is placed in a quiet area with beautiful views - morning walk with a dog was a pleasure.
