Umbria Camp

We stayed 3 nights at the Umbria Camp by van and we really enjoyed the shadow and beautiful atmosphere. The swimming pool is very nice and has a smaller side for kids with shallow water 💦 We went in the weekend so the pool was a bit too crowded and not really enjoyable, also the residents of the camp and people in general were not really respectful of the quiet times between 10 pm and 8 am or 1pm to 3pm so we found it a bit too loud. Overall the staff is all very friendly and helpful, at the entrance you can also find board games and books for kids :)

We came to this camping because of the good reviews, well…we ended up disappointed. Must be said that the location and the general ambiance on site is very nice. And probably the facilities on site are clean during high season. But… The first thing a camping has to offer to its guests is hygiene, this campside did not manage this in September. I went to the reception twice to mention that the toilets and washing areas were dirty and look like they are not cleaned in a while. The lovely lady at the reception send a message to the owner and told me that they clean once a day around lunchtime. I find it so strange to hear that you clean only once a day, obviously toilets will not stay clean for 24h. Well, the next day after lunch there has been someone to ‘clean’. But clearly this person does not care about the guests on the campside, because you could not call this cleaning. And of course after only a couple of hours the areas were even dirtier than before. Looks like the owner is tired after a long season and wants to cut costs, but don’t do this on hygiene!!! We were happy to leave this campside never to return. PS. writing this from a small campside were they clean 3 times a day, they understand how it works, also in low season!

We found Umbria Camp by chance and had such a wonderful stay there! The cappuccinos were amazing, the pool was clean, the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was delicious. The spot for our camper was quite large and we had a beautiful view. There are many hiking trails from the camp and we honestly wish we could go back!
