Camping Les Arolles

We were touring during the last 2 weeks of September in a campervan. We nipped in here mid afternoon on the off chance of getting a pitch, having originally planned to travel further that day. The lady in the office was very friendly & helpful. She walked us around the site and showed us what was available. Admittedly, the place is very crowded,... so not for you if you're seeking a quiet retreat,... & it was slim pickings, but we stayed. Our very narrow pitch was next to the toilets/showers & black water waste,... didn't smell too good at times. Not enough toilets and showers,.. prepare to queue at busy times (fine outside those) and take your own paper as, although they do supply loo paper, the one dispenser is outside the cubicles so you have to guess how much you'll need 😉!! However, it's, undeniably, a fab location,.. just 10 mins walk to everything in Chamonix,.. restaurants, shops and all tourist attractions. Also, amazing views! So, suited us, for 2 nights, to a tee. I would stay here again.

Fantastic place. Walk to everything. Owner of the camp is super friendly and easy to communicate with. Super busy but well worth camping here. No reservations though so you gotta roll in and hope to get a spot. NOTE we were there 3 days and every day spots opened up but we're full by 1 or 2 so try to get there around 10 / 11 am

Warning! This campsite during busy season (August) has the population density of New Delhi. The tents were crammed and scrammed so closely together it was difficult to navigate through the tent minefield without tripping on someone’s guide rope. The showers were hot tbf but I had to queue to use the toilet. Amazing location though, v close to town and bus station x
