Hotel Galina

I would avoid this hotel. The hotel cuts corners to save money on staff, when things go wrong there is no one behind their automated systems to help you. I booked a stay for 1 night but when I arrived I was unable to checkin to their automated which system had not forwarded the checkin code. There were no staff at the hotel, I tried calling the hotel help line for the next two hours but no one answered. I finally had no other choice but to book another room on their website which was nearly twice the cost of the original booking since it was a last minute reservation. The system worked this time and I was able to checkin. The rooms were clean, but there was no breakfast for some reason and they had one of the worst systems I have ever heard of. You unlock the doors to the hotel, bathroom, your room etc. with your phone. If your phone dies or you leave it in your bedroom you can be locked out for the rest of the day because there are no staff at the hotel. Imagine you go to your car and get locked out, in the winter it would be very dangerous. Anyway after my stay I asked the owner to refund for the second booking thinking it would be no problem since the automated system didn’t work and there were no staff to help like there should have been. Any reasonable person would have refunded me after my experience. Unfortunately the owner is not a reasonable person, they refused a refund and wanted to charge me for the last minute booking! Outrageous! They already save thousands by having no staff and on top of that they still cheat customers?!

Our stay at Galina Hotel was truly one-of-a-kind! The hotel is run by a warm and welcoming couple who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights of our trip was booking the “Hiking with an Eagle” experience directly through the hotel — and it was beyond amazing. The owner himself guided us on the hike, accompanied by his young eagle. It was not only a breathtaking walk through nature but also an educational experience. He shared fascinating insights about eagle training, conservation, and the bond he’s developed with his bird. You can tell this is more than just tourism — it’s a passion project built on love for nature and wildlife. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and grateful for such a personal and enriching experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something different and meaningful during their travels!
