Hotel Ghibellino

I had a great time here for 3 nights. The staff were very helpful. I stayed at the hotel on the corner near bar moderno and its a perfect location. Has everything you need. Very fairly priced too. Buonconveto is a nice town!

The room was probably the worst room we’ve ever stayed in, in Europe. The bed was comprised of one side having a mattress and the other side having a box spring. So not a bed at all. The pillows were much much flatter than pancakes. Would never stay in this place again.

The room on the ground floor on backyard ‘square’ is very basic. Direct sun all day on windows and no airconditioning available. At least , that is our takeaway after asking 3 times how the temperarure could be lowered (24 celcius not funny) . The lady said that it (‘the airco’) was off and be turning it on on could only be done from the central controls. Nothing happened. The she said she misunderstood and that in reality it was no airco but a heater that she turned off…we don’t like that kind of treatment. Avoid this hotel if you can. Or, at least, if they assign nr 25 make sure you inspect ‘the thing’
