Dampfschiffhotel

We had the great pleasure of spending a few nights at the Dampfschiffhotel in Stadt Wehlen, and it was an all-around excellent experience that we would love to share. The hotel is situated in an idyllic and peaceful setting, right on the Elbe River, with a breathtaking view of the river and Saxon Switzerland. The proximity to the Elbe and the mountain views are simply stunning. The service was exceptional. All the staff were consistently attentive and courteous, and they truly went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. The breakfast was particularly impressive, with René John always accommodating special requests with a smile and a friendly demeanor. He deserves a special thank you! The rooms are bright and welcoming, with ample storage space, even for several days. A large balcony allows you to enjoy the wonderful view. The bathroom is very spacious and comfortable.

We spent a wonderful week here in August 2025. The hotel is located directly on the Elbe River and has a long, interesting history, which is worth exploring. The rooms are very spacious and tastefully furnished. Nothing was missing. The large terrace overlooking the Elbe River was fantastic. The breakfast was good and more than sufficient, served in a pleasant atmosphere overlooking the water. There is ample parking. The hotel also has an elevator, which is very convenient and convenient for arrival and departure. We didn't use the wellness area, but we did check it out. Mrs. Teumer and her team are friendly hosts who also took the time for a chat. We felt very comfortable. It's only a three-minute walk to the town center; there isn't much, but what there is was nice, friendly, and welcoming. The ferry takes you quickly to the train station on the other side if you don't want to drive. We would be happy to come back.

Very nice little hotel right on the banks of the Elbe. The room was very tastefully and functionally furnished. The breakfast room is large and has a panoramic window to the Elbe. There is very nice seating in front of the hotel. Almost all rooms have a balcony. There are enough parking spaces on the hotel premises. There is an elevator. Very good service. The staff is very friendly.
