Ennerdale Country House Hotel

Amazing staff. Special mention to Rachel, the most caring friendly lady I've ever met. Made you feel very welcome. Upgraded my room after asking if the TV on the wall was on a bracket to turn it towards the bed, as it wasn't moved me to another room. Food incredible. Best hotel experience, would definitely recommend.

I stayed at the ennerdale for 2 months while attending a course. Rachel and the team were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone went out over and above to ensure the stay was as good as it could be. Though some of the rooms are a bit tired the place ended up feeling like home. The fire was always on in the reception and the staff always willing to have a chat. The food was of high standard and the portions very generous. Special mentions for Rachel, Amy K, Amy C, Amelia, Alana, Sammy, John and finally Alan & Jackie who run the place. All were more than accommodating and it was a genuine shame to check out for the final time.

Had an amazing 2 night stay here. Triple (3 singles) room. Very clean and tidy. Staff from reception to cleaning staff were so courteous and kind serving us with big smiles. Food was absolutely lovely and choices to fit all our needs. We stayed with friends who had a family room, again was spotless. The hotel needs a bit of tlc but did not detract from the enjoyment of our stay. New owners have been identified and they have big plans for refurbishment so will definitely keep a look out for future breaks away Rachel in particular was fabulous in ensuring our stay went well. So friendly and attentive, very pleasant from the moment we arrived.
