Hôtel du Grand Lac Excelsior

The hotel has a beautiful lakeside location, and our stay was generally fine, but there are several areas that need improvement. The property is clearly showing its age — the carpets were noticeably dirty, and overall the rooms could really benefit from refurbishment or renovation. Additionally, the room did not provide a kettle, tea, or coffee, which was quite inconvenient and unexpected for a hotel of this standard. Breakfast was okay, nothing special but sufficient to start the day. With some updates to the facilities and better in-room amenities, this hotel has the potential to offer a much better experience.

Avoid this hotel if you can. The elevators smells like mold. Our room did not even have a coffee machine, kettle, or any tea or coffee. It was just bed and table. nothing special. It was super noisy. We could hear every word from the neighbouring room when she was talking on the phone. She wasn't even shouting and we could hear her. The noise from the room above us could be heard as well.

A beautiful stay at a beautiful hotel. We will be back! Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Amazing views. Clean. Relaxing. Right by the lake. Perfect location.
