Hotel Gemse Weisstannen

We stayed here while doing the Via Alpina. The hotel/restaurant is family run and very nice. Rooms were comfy, and the dinner was some of the best food we have had on our trip. Highly recommend!!

Stayed here on our first night on the Bia Alpina. Couldn’t have been made more welcome by the lovely family who own the hotel. Very comfy bed, hot shower and good food. Went to bed happy with sounds of river sending us to sleep. Great breakfast too with fresh bread, fruit, cereals, cheese and cold meats.

Such a great place to stay in a little village at the end of the valley. No stores so bring extra shower soap and provisions from town, if you intend to base here and go hiking or skiing. Excellent breakfast and fresh home cooked dinner menu available every night, after go for a nice walk around the village. We stayed Christmas week and the drive in with the road cleared of snow, along the river and between shear mountain gorge was breathtakingly beautiful. We highly recommend the hotel and the surrounding area.
