Moxy Plymouth

I love the Moxy hotels. They give modern and VIBES. The location of the Plymouth one is ideal for pavilions so perfect if you’re seeing a show. Also great for being walking distance to town or to royal William yard. The issues I had with this one though: - the walls are very thin. I could hear the room next door talking/ coughing/ receiving phone notifications. I also heard upstairs stomping about all morning. - the bathroom smelt a little musky despite being so new - the bar was understaffed for Valentine’s Saturday night and there was a literal queue formed that didnt go down quickly. Was a vibe killer sadly. - we didn’t sleep well but can’t give an exact cause, we tossed and turned all night long. That being said, it’s a lovely laid out room with everything you need. Plus for a Saturday it was great value.

Great hotel, far exceeded expectations and much better than other ‘budget hotel’ brands. The bar area was very well presented and inviting, with lots of people and a well stocked bar. Even with the bustle downstairs, rooms were very quiet and comfortable. Food was nice enough, only comment would be price but for convenience we were happy to pay it. Looking forward to coming back again in a few months, and will certainly be having a cocktail and a game of pool!

My goto hotel. Nice environment, beds are comfy and rooms are very clean. Bar is OK too, if you time it wrong when groups of people are ordering cocktails you can end up waiting a considerable amount of time, but that's a minor issue.
