If you're looking for a simple life, peace, and unspoiled nature, Montesalce is the place for you. It's an ideal starting point for hikes, as well as excursions to the beautiful towns of Umbria. Valeria anticipated our every need and provided us with everything we needed. We had a wonderful time and would love to return.

Arriving at Agriturismo Montesalce after driving along the paved road from Gubbio, and as soon as you enter the dirt road, you immediately begin to understand that you're about to have a unique experience. You're excited to see the fantastic places near "Montesalce" and to take long walks along the paths of the Via Franciscana that leads from Assisi to Gubbio... but once you park the car, and are welcomed by the owner Valeria and the cheerful "Peloso" reception committee 🐾🐶 of the structure Mokka, Nero, Sam and Yuma, and once you have taken possession of the "Bianco" apartment and closed the door behind you, you realize that you too, like your car, must pull the handbrake and slow down because you understand that time in Montesalce travels very slowly. So once you've listened to its silence, its scents, the braying of the donkey or the quacking of the geese, the chirping of the birds, or seen the ever-changing colors of the sky between sunrises and sunsets, the mists and the views of the beautiful "Valle del Chiascio", you'll be catapulted into a fantasy world, where your soul, your heart, your mind, and your animal friend will thank you. I could go on, but I'd spoil the pleasure of experiencing a vacation from another era, with abundant and unique breakfasts or rustic, steaming dinners delivered in baskets directly to your door by the excellent home cook. A special thanks to Valeria and Graziano, fantastic and welcoming hosts, who open the doors of their jewel... the Montesalce farmhouse to us city humans, a thank you also from our Mandy 🐾🐶 who really appreciated the freedom with which she could run chased by Mokka and Nero when she invaded their control space 😂😂😂

I chose this place by chance and I don't regret it! I spent five days with my husband and my dog, River, in this stunning place, so far from the rest of the world and so peaceful. I can't recommend it enough. Thanks to Graziano and Valeria, excellent hosts. And what can I say about the food? Superlative. Thank you, Valeria, for your delicious dishes.
