Crackington Campsite - Hallagather Farm

This place seems to be on a down swing. The shower and toilet facilities really do look like a lost place or like the owner has given up on them.. laminate floor that is flooded with water, no shower curtain, the wood that the hut is made of has seen very much better days, lots of toiletry products standing around, including soap bars on the wooden shelves (not sure if they still have an owner), there were plants coming on through the roof, lots of spider webs and other dirt. Really cannot recommend. Shower was hot though, which is a plus, if you are not sensitive to the look and feel of the place. The rest of the site (lawn, grass was not freshly mown, but ok) and contact with the owner was very good and uncomplicated.

We spent four nights here with our two children. It is exactly what we look for when camping….clean, tranquil and most importantly respectful, with like-minded campers. The campsite itself is so peaceful and the walk down to the local beach through the fields was a lovely bonus (especially when the sun set over the sea). It’s a fantastic spot to access the local beaches. All facilities were clean and well kept and a fire pit was available to use. We will definitely visit again! We loved it! Thank you Jake.

Friendly and helpful atmosphere, run by 2 lovely people. Clean and great, spacious proper toilets and lush hot shower. Recycling ♻️ at site is available, which can be rare, or even a bin at basic sites. A warm and calm spot for all to enjoy. A fridge full of local produce: veg, fruit and eggs with an honesty box. Some fitness level is required for the walk down to the beach; well especially up; it was very dry but it might be more challenging when we finally get some rain. You do not have to walk far to have the view of thw sea with the cracking sunset. Both sunset and sunrise is astonishing from the camping field. Great water 💧 is available for drinking. Dog friendly with dedicated dog waste bin, which again is much appreciated. Would definitely return and would highly recommend.
