Havener's, Fowey

A lovely friendly casual restaurant/Pub to have lunch or coffee with friends. I believe it also has rooms to stay there in. Positioned right on the Quay. We parked in the main Fowey Car park and walked down the steep hill towards the Quay. Quite a steep walk back to the council car park, but good exercise! And well worth it. Fowey is a lovely quiet little village in February with a wonderful old church to visit and a few interesting shops…..all near Haveners. My husband was very impressed with the coffee so after a walk to nearby St Catherine’s Castle, which is easy to walk to, we went back to Havener’s for lunch. Once again we were not disappointed. Dogs are welcome in the front part of Haveners ……plus there is also some outside seating for sunny days.

The staff very extremely helpful and patient. They went out of their way to make my birthday celebration special. Huge thanks to Assistant Manager, Leah, who kindly bought cakes made locally to the venue for me. Finally, 18 beautifully cooked and tasty meals which without exception received praise and complements from all guests. We have eaten many enjoyable meals here, but this evening was really special thanks to all staff who helped make it so.

Amazing service! Staff were so friendly and welcoming, especially Lee and a lady who I think was called Georgia. The staff were brilliant with my young children. It was busy but service was so quick and efficient. All the food was exceptional, the most amazing fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding!! Very generous portion sizes, kids meals were brilliant too. We had such a lovely evening, thank you!
