Bedbugs in the beds, silverfish on the floor. We suspect the sheets weren’t washed when we got there. A weird smell hung around the room. On the first day, our toilet broke down, and even though they said they’s fix it the next day it wasn’t fixed for the next six days. Our room was unappealing and dirty. The beds creaked with every turn you make. The rooms aside, the nuns were very nice and we had an okay breakfast in the morning. Dry bread, weird plasticy toppings, but nothing too bad. Dinner was quite nice. This was just our experience, our friends didn’t have nearly as many problems.

A simple monastery stay. Room was clean, bed comfortable and had good hot water. The room had a balcony that was a nice surprise. The nuns were very kind and helpful. Breakfast included baked goods, yogurt, jams, cheese and cappuccino from a machine. We ordered a dinner at the casa (14Euros). Dinner included a rigatoni, baked chicken, salad, water and wine. It was simple but very tasty and a great last night of our Via Francigena pilgrimage.
