Doesn't pretend to be a luxury hotel, but it is nevertheless very comfortable. The pub downstairs is fine indeed, with smiling staff. Breakfast decent. Fine value for such a central location.

Visited for a Sunday lunch (£17-19) which was fantastic, meat was lovely, loads of veg and cauliflower cheese included and served separately for the table! Also had an amazing pint of Guinness and the place was warm and cosy! Servers were friendly and could not do enough got offered more gravy and veg on two occasions and they accommodated a walk in table of 6 adults with 3 babies with no fuss!

We stumbled upon this place purely by chance - and what a find! Sunday lunch was three courses for under £30, and wow… easily the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long time. Everything was incredibly tasty and the portion sizes were more than generous. Really helpful with our friend that has a dairy intolerance. The staff were super friendly and welcoming too. Definitely worth a visit
