It's clean and tidy. The food is very good. The rooms are simple but very effective. The staff are very helpfully. All in all there are no problems with the hotel. I go on a skiing holiday to ski not to sit and look at my lovely room all day. The photos are from our balcony.

This hotel is situated in a perfect location to get La Daille cable car up to the top of the Val D'isere ski region. Its next to a great bar, bus link, spar supermarket and a few restaurants. It's a 20 minute walk to Val centre. The hotel itself is basic. If you want cheap but aren't bothered about style then this will do. The decor is dated, the boot rooms are very small with no warmers. The rooms are a decent size with plenty of storage and en-suite with bath and shower. However, if you're over 5'5 don't expect to stretch your legs out in the bath. Lots of hot water though so you can enjoy a lovely shower. Dinner is two sittings and unfortunately feels more like a canteen. If there is a large group of dinner guests you can't hear each other talk. The food was ok but not really enough portion wise and the vegetables were mostly over done. There is a small bar on the ground floor which really couldn't accommodate all the guests waiting for dinner. An aperitif was served while you were waiting which was a nice touch. The staff were exceptional and always happy to help. Over all, this hotel could do with updating and the creation of more recreational space and a nicer dining room would greatly improve things. The menu could do with an overhaul but on the whole ok.

Absolutely fantastic...we stayed for a week over Christmas and cannot fault a single thing...other than the act of god with over a meter of snow and a complete skiing white out for 3 days. The in-house staff and reps are so approachable, friendly and accommodating. The food was fantastic, every 3 course meal was delicious and the head chef came around and saw us all after every meal (go John!). Jimmy, Lilly and the rest of the team did such a great job, it made the last week the most memorable Christmas ever. Skiing was fantastic...some advice for slopes we were grateful for...head over to Henri (blue) towards Val Claret...and up the top of Rocher du Charvet (green)! Excellent runs...long and wide and really get the chance to ski! Be careful of the greens ....sometimes they were worse than the reds due to mogles! Have fun :-)
