The Perranporth Camping and Touring Park

Just go back from a not so great stay at The Lodge . We arrived late Thursday evening after an awful drive in the pouring rain, to find the Lodge was not clean. We were staying with 3 dogs so had to leave them in the car for an hour before we could bring them in. The floors were covered in crumbs, cobwebs hanging in nearly all the corners, the bedroom area was thick with dust on the bed side tables and both bed side lamps hanging with cobwebs and dust. The bathroom still had someone else's toiletries in the shower and hair all around the sink. The taps had in crusted toothpaste all over. We did mention it to the owner the following morning and she did apologise and offered to come and do.it.but we had already done it as we just didn't feel comfortable waiting. We had been food shopping the following day and as we went to pack out shopping in to the fridge it was just another area the was disgusting. Hair and grime all over , so again had to clean it before using. The place at first glance looks nice,.how ever everything is done on the cheap. Tin bedside tables that are flimsy and noisy, bathroom sink too small. Needs a mirror in the bathroom as you had to keep going in to the hallway. The bedding was so cheap and pillow as flat as a pancake, my partner drove back to where we live to get our own bedding. No welcome pack, no instructions left to how to operate the sofa bed. Views were great and nice touch to have a fire pit. Nice to have milk left and tea, coffee and biscuits. In the freezer was some elses food left. Just a shame it just seems to be rented out and no care or thinking of the holiday makers comfort. Definitely would not recommend or go back. What would have been appreciated is a token of goodwill when told how much we had to clean , however there wasn't any offer.

Just landed at the Lodge. Not disappointed!!! Clean, tidy, great service!!! Even let us in early check in. Been many times to the campsite before. ( Spoke to previous occupiers on my earlier visits to site about the Lodge and how it was, No complaints! Here here!!! Thought I'd try the lodge as the weather is colder and we normally come here in campervan. TOP MARKS. Thanks to the hosts. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely beautiful little site, owners so friendly. Fantastic facilities so clean and so well kept grounds. Short walk in to town with the magnificent perrenpoth beach. Would have come here sooner if I knew how nice it is, definitely will be back
