Agriturismo Villa la Fonte - Pillo Holiday Villas - Azienda Agricola Virides Agri

Our large family enjoyed a spectacular month at Villa la Fonte. If you are looking for comfort and tranquility, this is your place! This private, gated villa is located halfway between Florence and Siena and within walking/short drive distance of a famous pilgrimage walking trail and charming local town (Gambassi Terme). The villa itself comprises 2 houses in a very bucolic setting, with cold flowing spring water, olive groves, and well tended garden on the property. The residences themselves are oozing with charm. They have been carefully and beautifully decorated, and the owners are ever-present - - taking care on a daily basis of the many flowers and plants that add to the villa’s beauty. The villa is perfectly located - - just a 10-minute drive from trains to Florence and Siena and within easy driving distance of multiple Medieval towns (Pisa, Vinci, San Gimignano, etc.) of historical and cultural interest. Importantly, the owners were extremely helpful to us - - always willing to answer questions, make suggestions, and rapidly appeared to help us on the one occasion when we locked ourselves out. They also were of great assistance when one of us became sick and needed a doctor - - even getting on the phone with the local pharmacist to help clarify some confusion (created by our limited fluency in Italian) about the prescription. And the villa has several much appreciated amenities - - all of the rooms are air conditioned, the pool is lovely, and there is a much used outdoor grilling and eating area under protective roof. In short, we would love to return sometime soon. The owners were exceptionally warm, welcoming, helpful, and always accessible. They rapidly became friends. Because of the warmth shown by the owners and the comfort of the accommodations, the villa felt like home after just a few days. We will carry wonderful memories of Villa la Fonte for the rest of our lives.

We loved our stay! Everything was beautiful! Wonderful hosts, gorgeous landscape, beautiful Tuscan farmhouse. We stayed here with children and they loved the pool! I highly recommend!

Great location, the pool, the house, and the property are simply gorgeous. We'd love to come back. The on-site support from Elena was excellent.
