The inn is in a somewhat secluded location directly below the Finkenstein castle ruins. The beer garden (outdoor seating) isn't particularly inviting. The interior is showing its age. The menu selection was limited. The food, however, was very good and more than reasonably priced. The younger waitress was very friendly and quick in taking our order and serving us. I'm deducting one star because the older waitress (presumably the owner) sometimes has a very stern manner with the guests. Nevertheless, I would still eat there again, as the price-performance ratio and the food were good.

We spent one night at the inn while hiking the Alpe-Adria-Trail. The apartment was comfortably furnished and we slept very well. We had excellent dinners at the inn in the evenings, breakfast was fantastic, and everyone was incredibly friendly. We felt right at home and will definitely come back.
