This picturesque guesthouse allowed us to discover a magnificent region as well as the charming village of Sare, about a twenty-minute walk away. The welcome is impeccable, and the breakfast is on par with a Michelin-starred hotel. Only fresh, homemade products. The rooms are indeed not very soundproofed, but that's to be expected in a historic building like this. The rate is reasonable for a summer period. A relaxing and rejuvenating stay!

The owner speaks Spanish. She's very helpful and explains everything very well. The house is beautiful with spectacular views that you can enjoy all day long. Breakfast usually consists of fruit, French pastries (with butter), toast with butter and jam, and coffee with milk (you definitely won't go hungry). There's a refrigerator and microwave that are shared with the guests of the other two rooms. The TV is shared and is in the living room. We didn't need it, at least. The place is quiet, without much noise. In summer, it gets cool in the late afternoon and evening, and you might need a cardigan (which is appreciated). The only downside I could mention is that the beds are spring mattresses and tend to dig in if you stay in the same position for a while (if the mattress had been memory foam, it would have been heavenly). The stairs are wooden and creak, so if other guests arrive in the early hours, you might hear them, but it's not really bothersome since the house only has three bedrooms. Overall, I give it a 9 out of 10. I would definitely stay again.

A very pleasant stay in this charming house in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in the Basque Country, close to all the region's top attractions. The room was lovely, with a balcony overlooking the mountains, spacious, and had an excellent bed. It's an old house, so the soundproofing isn't great. The hostess was incredibly welcoming and attentive. A minor drawback was the breakfast: while attractively presented and sufficient for a woman, it was too small for a man, giving the impression of being somewhat rationed. Nevertheless, we highly recommend it; excellent value for money for this room!
