Camped here for 2 nights mid October 25. This peaceful campsite is located in Edale with 2 great pubs offering food only a 3-4 minute walk away. The train station is a similar amount of time away. The campsite is basic but very well maintained with a washing up area, toilets and token operated showers all available. There is also car parking available, that is situated away from the tent pitches. The pricing is very reasonable and I will definitely be back next year for another hill walking adventure in the beautiful Peak District.

Great quiet campsite for walkers with nice views of the local scenery. Good basic facilities and very clean. No phone signal which I see as a benefit...others may not! Website is clear and representative of what you do and don't get and what is included in your pitch price. Definitely my staple site for walking in the area now.

We had a wonderful stay at Fieldhead. There are 5 fields to choose from, including 2 that are quieter which we opted for. Lovely hearing the nearby stream and the wind rustling the trees. It had all we needed! A few benches to sit at for food, toilets with sinks and showers, a room for washing up food equipment which came with washing up liquid and sponges, and a bothy room with a fridge/freezer with plenty of space for our stuff. Just outside there were two taps for fresh drinking water too. The wheelbarrows were a really nice touch for wheeling your stuff from your car to your chosen pitch. Really loved ambling down the road to the Newfold farm cafe and Old Nags Head pub for when we couldn’t be bothered to cook! Excellent place will be coming back for sure.
