Riverside Campsite Malham

We stopped here on this picturesque site to explore Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and its surrounding area. A lovely site with stunning views all around which unfortunately was tainted by signs everywhere you go, leaving you feeling like you were being watched and judged for everything you did. (See photos attached for a relatively small selection of the signs that give you an idea of what to expect). When we arrived, we parked on the car park but the owner made a fuss and insisted we moved to make room for when the motorhomes/camper vans/caravans arrived - they never appeared. The wheelbarrows are a great idea to help ferry belongings across the field from the car park. Whilst the owner wasn’t unpleasant, a smile wouldn’t go amiss after greeting him in the morning. The washing-up facilities are decent and the showers are hot (£1 per token which lasts 7minutes, available to purchase from the owners on arrival). Everywhere was appropriately clean and tidy which was great. All in all, I’d return, but purely for the convenience of the location, not necessarily the site itself.

Fantastic location. Large field stunning views. 5 min walk into the village. Mrs Moon and her husband are super friendly nothing is too much trouble. Now there’s notices with site rules everywhere don’t let this put you off it’s a good thing. £18 a night. Hot shower for £1. Washing and under cover cooking area. Toilets kept clean. Can’t fault the place

I stayed here for two nights, just a tent and myself. Excellent stay Very convenient location 2 min walk to village Malham cove within minutes Nice owners very friendly Lots of rules for good reasons 👌 This is a good place if you want peace and quiet No loud music allowed etc No vehicles on the field so no noise from doors closing etc It’s cash only and there’s no cash point which the owners tell you when you book . Would definitely recommend and stay again
