Cambridge

I appreciated having my boots and socks dried in the drying room. The TV was small and limited. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was fine and toiletries were nice. So, all was well until breakfast when I was given a tiny amount of muesli in a jar and the bacon in the English breakfast was hard, as was the mushroom and sausage. Coffee seemed to be limited.

We had a fantastic welcome from our hosts from the minute we arrived. Sheila and Robert are friendly and helpful, with excellent knowledge of the area and all it has to offer. The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean and well presented with lovely antique furniture and luxurious linens and towels. Our room was extremely comfortable and cosy with superb far reaching views. The breakfasts were amazing, beautifully cooked and with plenty to choose from. We took our dog Grace with us and she was made extremely welcome, with a comfortable bed and dog treats provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend Cambridge House to all our friends. We will definitely be back! Thank you Sheila and Robert for your hospitality.

We spent 2 nights at Cambridge House during the Easter weekend. The house is in a perfect location, walking distance to local amenities and shops. It’s also close to many paths to explore the Dales. The room and the house were nicely decorated and very clean. Also well equipped. Sheila and Robert were amazing hosts. The breakfast choice was superb. They also have many suggestions and information on what to do to explore the area.
