Gästehaus Wild

This is a nice hotel. The owners are friendly and our stay has been nice. The room we had included a balcony, with the room itself being in very good condition. The TV worked for local stations, and there is Internet available (although the Internet goes out every once in a while). The hotel is in a quiet village with some great hiking trails that can be accessed by walking a short distance. The breakfast is a typical German breakfast with rolls, bread, some fruit, orange juice, etc. There are some great restaurants within the village but it's best to get reservations since they seem to fill up fast. On my personal scale of hotels, this is a hotel that I would stay in again.

Unfortunately, we didn't receive the room we booked, but a cheaper one. The price difference was not refunded. Our Black Forest Card was confiscated upon departure and could only be used after further back-and-forth and discussions on the day of our departure. It's already in the mailbox and on its way back. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was good. We had expected a bit more warmth; a smile is sometimes worth its weight in gold.

Quiet location, beautiful view, delicious breakfast. The room could have been a bit cleaner – there were cobwebs and dust in the corners. The bed and bathroom were fine. Good value for money.
