We stayed at Gite Tuto on the fourth night they were open, a staging point on our crossing of the GR10. It was one of the most beautiful, most welcoming and relaxing of all the 50 places we stayed. It’s wonderful to stay with Sabine and Franck, who are themselves walkers and know the route well. Great food, a lovely ambience like a comfy ski chalet and lovely design touches. Highly recommended!!

Sabine and Frank were amazing hosts. We’ve stayed three times now, and each visit has been wonderful. During our first stay for my birthday weekend, we spoke with Sabine on the phone in Spanish (Frank also speaks English very well) and booked a stay for four people. Since it was very early in the season, we had the gîte entirely to ourselves. We arrived at night, and they had prepared an incredible homemade dinner for us. We stayed in the shared bunk room, and the whole place immediately felt like a real home. Everything is beautifully maintained and decorated with pieces of Sabine and Frank’s journey through the Pyrenees. They gave us great insight and advice about the surrounding hikes, and we requested breakfast and a picnic lunch to take with us for the day. After our round-trip hike to Gîte de Bassies, we returned a day later. There are several hiking options directly from the gîte itself. Coming back after a long hike to a fireplace, warm showers, wonderful company, a hot stew, delicious dessert, and a glass of local wine was incredible. They truly take care of every detail. The rooms also seemed surprisingly soundproof — everyone slept really well. On our most recent stay, we traveled with my partner and our dogs. We chose the larger upstairs room with a private bathroom so we could have a bit more space and privacy, and enjoy the magnificent view from the room. I honestly could not recommend this place more. Whether you’re hiking long distances or just visiting for a short stay, don’t miss this place — even if only for the amazing food and hospitality ❤️ We will definitely be back!

We just spent an absolutely incredible weekend with 12 people at this gîte. The place is simply magical. We were lucky enough to enjoy magnificent weather, with sunshine that never left us, further enhancing this exceptional setting. The house is extraordinary: remarkable architecture, beautiful materials, and decor done with great taste and attention to detail. You immediately feel at home. The living room exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for sharing wonderful moments with family or friends. Special mention goes to the bedroom with a view of the Montclam peak: waking up to this landscape with the first rays of sunshine is an unforgettable experience. And what can we say about Sabine and Franck… Thank you both for your incredibly warm welcome and for the friendship you showed our son. You allowed us to share a precious moment with family and friends. Thank you for the delicious breakfasts with your homemade jams and local honey, and for the wonderful regional dishes prepared with passion. You are two lovely, smiling, always attentive and discreet people who speak about your region with love. An ideal place to relax, enjoy the fresh air and breathtaking scenery. We leave with wonderful memories… and the desire to return very soon!
