Very nice place to stay at, definitely recommend!

The Mergera offers very clean rooms, furnished with the same chic, Nordic simplicity as the rest of the hotel. The price per night is definitely justified. The hotel also has a sauna (which we didn't try). The reception is only sporadically staffed. If no one is there, you have to help yourself: The room key is in a key safe. Instructions are sent in Latvian, but Google Translate makes it possible to manage. The rooms are fully furnished, even with a kitchenette and extractor fan; however, they are rather small. The bathroom with toilet and shower is spacious. The very low beds and the steep staircase with a handrail that poses a risk of pinching fingers make the accommodation rather unsuitable for elderly or frail people. Finally, the location isn't bad, close to the village center and the sea.
