Hollows Farm

My favorite campsite in the lakes. The location is magical if you’re in the family field and the river is perfect for the kids. Some very happy memories of camping here over the years.

Brilliant campsite, with beautiful views and a great location for some nearby walks/hikes. I love how the sheep just roam around camp, even if they are waking me up at 2am 😅 all adds to the experience. Ruby is lovely and the checkin process is pretty straight forward, just go to your allocated pitch/find a good spot and pitch up. Payment is collected later in the evening. The Toilet block on the woodland field is clean, having a male and female area, rather than a shared loo. It’s literally a minute walk to it, and having a washing area (for pots etc) right outside it is very handy. The showers, although these are a bit further away, they’re also very clean and the hot water on a very cold day was much needed!! Even though it is a push button and a bit of a fight between being warm, lathering up and rinsing 😅 I’ll definitely be coming back, preferably in the summer for a different experience of the Lake District (hopefully a warmer one) 👍🏕️🐑

Perfect spot for camping , very clean and amazing location. The owner was really nice as well! Made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the main campsite so just a short walk to the toilet / shower facilities. Plenty of amazing walks on your doorstep and the river close by for a dip! Would fully recommend
