Gite La Colline Verte

This place is absolutely wonderful. Stopped here for a rest day while hiking the GR10 and I could not have asked for a nicer place to rest! The house is beautiful, with a comfortable living room, amazing food, and kind host. The beds are soft and we felt so comfortable and welcome here. Definitely stop by for a relaxing night (or two)!

We were told the place was a small heaven, and it was! the stone house is picturesque and the organic food delicious. It is beautifully cooked by Zoher, the host, who lives true to his values and gives the place its charm, welcoming you at the sound of chosen pieces of classical music. Zoher knows the wild and beautiful surroundings very well and readily gives you weather-wise advice on what to choose each day from the endless hiking and cycling options in the area. Another gem is the attached shop, where you can buy garden vegetables and home-made dairy products: the owner let you pick and pay by yourself, it's all about trust :)

I have stayed twice at La Colline Verte and it is not only the cheapest gite I have ever stayed in but the best, with a warm, friendly welcome, beautiful well-appointed rooms and well situated with spectacular mountain views. My hosts, Zoher and Yann have been very nice to me and made my stay a great pleasure.
