Very unfriendly and aggressive owner. We were walking the GR10 and we were sourrounded by the high rain when descending from the Col des Trois Fontaines. We took shelter from the rain on the porch of the gîte and the owner incriminated us in a bad way to leave from there. It seems that we were not welcome in the place. No empathy nor respect for the walkers. Just for this reason we would never recommend staying in this gîte.

A path (illegally?) privatized by an owner with dubious methods. Judging by the numerous reviews on this subject and my recent disappointment when I arrived from a 16km loop just 200m from the parking lot, I had to turn back and add 3km to my route. These are highly questionable methods for someone who wants to consider tourists as "guests." The Basques are known for their hospitality, and you are bringing shame upon them with such behavior. At the very least, indicate the closure of your path upstream of your fence; it would show a modicum of humanity, if you still possess any!
